The root stock tree of the Bradford Pear.
The Bradford Pear was smashed to pieces by an ice storm many years ago
and the roots appeared as though they would send up a new tree.
But knowing that it was a graft, I dug it up and replanted it out back
and now it is quite a tall tree with white flowers and small fruit.
But... It has a dark side: thorns! and I sometimes think that I shouldn't have replanted it.
