One of the twin fawns standing under the Osage Orange tree.
The mother deer brought the twins by this afternoon
and asked me if I would watch them while she browsed
around a bit in the field - of course, I said that I would do it.
The two promptly layed down in the shade and took a nap.
The mother later came back and layed down with them until evening.
We cut branches from this tree during the summer so that the deer could
eat the leaves. At night, we could see them standing around the branches
and eating the leaves. It was a very hard summer.
